Ooh, I’ll have to track them down…I need to give my regular hardcovers to the daughter — my eyes are just too bad for reading them to be a pleasure. Audio books are a terrific blessing — but the joy of a book in the hand and coffee at my elbow is irreplaceable!

No, in fact that’s the American edition – you should be able to find all of them in the US. I ought to mention that on the ‘books’ pages – thanks for pointing it out.

No I haven’t tried, for the very reasons you mention! But if anybody does come up with any info. I’d be delighted to give the mystery man an acknowledgement on the blog.

Gosh, that’s an arresting cover! I suppose you’ve tried the various Roman re-enactment groups? Mark you, they might get a bit touchy if it’s one of their chaps and there’s no acknowledgment of them on the jacket. But that would be the publisher’s problem, of course.
